No, no it is not.

End of discussion.

/agree
ele's are supposed to be ranged...aren't they? granted, there are some circumstances where they tank and what not, but still....ele's are midliners.

I try to avoid using gale or shock in most areas I have never found it to be that much a difference in Win or Loss situations.

And I can't think of any reason why you'd take Gale over Shock on a melee.

Gimping yourself also isn't a good way to play.
Uhmm no? Using Gale/AS is hard lol. I only hear Shock/Aftershock never hear Gale/Aftershock lol. You go and try it yourself lmao. Do you even know that AS range is super small? It calls "Adjacent." The smallest you can find in your Aggro bubble. Unless your enemy is dumb enough standing there and not moving. Otherwise when you finish casting 1s cast Gale, your target is already out of range for AS. Even with shock, it's still evadable somtimes.

Oh and what does Gimping mean? Speak some proper language! LOL, in dictionary it gives "No definition."

LOL != proper language.

But what he means with Gale/AS is you have the flexibility to gale other people outside of the combo. You can still run up to someone, gale then aftershock you know.

In gaming terminology, to be gimped means to not play to a full capacity, or to cripple oneself intentionally or unintentionally, so that you have an unreasonable (i.e. there is no reason there should be) disadvantage.

The only advantage you get with Shock/AS is the damage from Shock, which is pretty much inconsequential, I think you'd agree. Why you'd run Shock/Aftershock instead of any other ranged KD/Aftershock, would be that Shock/Aftershock is easier in terms of positioning - instead of having to walk over there, you simply press a button, and it walks over there for you! How do you miss Aftershock is a very good question. After Shock, you have .75 aftercast. A KD lasts for 2 seconds, so you have what? 1.25 seconds? to cast Aftershock, which has a casting time of 0.75. So you have a window of 0.5 seconds to cast it...not to mention you could chain the two skills, making even that inconsequential. The only reason why you'd "miss" Aftershock would be they were carrying some anti-KD skill (i.e. Balanced Stance, etc.). With Gale, the only difference is that you have to run up, which isn't any real advantage, you get a 1s cast time instead of 0.75 (*gasp* the target can run a few feet further), and you can actually use gale outside of that idiotic combo. If the running bothers you that much, run up a little bit to them after casting Gale (i.e. tapping "w" or whatever's your key to running forward once) then cast AS. You do have half a second to dance around.

Aftershock itself and combos associated with it aren't good (i.e. underpowered), either. I have no idea why you brought it up.
